Airtel 4G coverage reached 110 towns in Karnataka

Telecom network operator Bharti Airtel on Wednesday announced that its 4G services reached 110 towns in Karnataka.

The latest town to be added in Karnataka telecom circle is Shimoga, said Bharti Airtel, which claims to have the widest 4G network in India.

Airtel is offering 4G services in Mysore, Mangalore, Hubli, Davanagere, Chikmagalur, Tumkur, Udupi, Manipal, Belgaum, Gulbarga,  to name a few apart from Bangalore.

C Surendran, CEO – Karnataka, Bharti Airtel, said: “We are committed to building a world class 4G network in Karnataka and with this launch we are one step closer to creating a digital superhighway in the region.”

Bharti Airtel is expanding in India at a time when Reliance Jio Infocomm is yet to announce the date for launching 4G services. Bharti Airtel is investing Rs 60,000 crore in three years to expand its mobile coverage and quality of services across India.

In November 2015, Bharti Airtel announced its Rs 60,000 crore network transformation and expansion program ‘Project Leap’ aimed at improving network quality and delivering the best customer experience.
