International business powers OnMobile revenue up 14% in Q3 FY 2011-12

VAS major OnMobile Global has
posted Rs 1,688 million revenue for the third quarter of fiscal year 2012,
registering 14 per cent increase against the same quarter of previous year.

 

The company’s
net profit decreased 15 percent from Rs 209 million in FY 2011 to Rs 178
million in FY 2012.

 

The company’s
operating margin decreased 10 percent to Rs 157 million in the third quarter.
Operating margin for the third quarter of FY 2011 stood at Rs 175 million.

 

OnMobile
announced that its EBITDA stood at Rs 392 million this quarter,
increasing 16 percent from Rs 336 million for third quarter of FY 2011.

 

The company
also announced that its international revenues continue to grow well,
contributing to 48 percent of top-line revenues in Q3 as against 42 percent in
Q2. It was at 50 percent of top-line in the exit month of December.

 

OnMobile
denoted that its Telefonica LatAm deployment is accelerating company’s results.
OnMobile launched in three more countries during the quarter taking the total
reach in LatAm to 11 countries and 98 percent of the addressable subscriber
base in that market.

 

The Telefonica
LatAm project has recorded its first positive quarter on an operating basis.
The project has turned cash-flow positive in the last quarter and is now
operating-profit positive. Both of these have been achieved within a year of
launch.

 

The company
also announced the appointment of Harit Nagpal and Amit Rastogi. The company
appointed Rastogi as its new CFO.

 

Few months
back, OnMobile Global entered into an agreement with Unitel, a mobile operator in
Angola, to launch Ring Back Tones (RBT) for Unitel’s subscribers in Africa.
