MWC 2015: Ooredoo to demo smart city, M2M and smart stadium

Ooredoo will showcase smart city, machine-to-machine (M2M), smart education and smart stadium technology at the GSMA Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015) in Barcelona next month.

“Ooredoo Smart solutions offer the potential to transform the lives of our customers, by reducing energy usage, enabling greater automation and providing more people with faster access to a world of information and educational material,” said Nasser Marafih, group CEO, Ooredoo.

Ooredoo’s Smart City technology includes control centre solutions that manage smart metering, gated community access control and CCTV surveillance services.

The Smart Learning section will demo solutions that offer Smart Learning experiences for children and adults. The section will showcase mobile device management services that enable schools to communicate with students and teachers through their devices.

Ooredoo’s M2M demonstration at MWC 2015 includes innovations for the energy, transport and financial sectors.

As part of Ooredoo’s Smart Stadium technology, the telecom operator will showcase intelligent network solutions that will provide fans inside the ground and viewers around the world with up-to-the-moment information and results at sporting events.
