Sonic Biochem Signs with IBM for Managed Hosting Services

 

IBM and Sonic Biochem Extractions announced a ten year
contract for Managed Hosting and Monitoring Services of Data Center equipment
in IBM Bangalore to ensure all-time availability of critical business
applications.

 

This deal provides a significant cost saving to the tune of
approximately 20 percent in the first year itself and increasing subsequently
in terms of DC infrastructure management and monitoring to Sonic besides
assured service levels and support from IBM.

 

Sonic Biochem Extractions, part of Matlani Group India,
develops and manufactures ingredients for the healthcare industry. The group
has made impressive progress in the field of new generation soya products
having manufactured few products for the first time in India. To
support it’s growing business, Sonic Biochem needed a reliable facility to host
their IT infrastructure running SAP ERP and other business applications hence
choose IBM datacenter in Bangalore

Sonic has signed a 10-year contract for
outsourcing of entire IT infrastructure including servers, storage, network
equipment and security solutions to.IBM Datacentre. This involves IBM renting
the DC space, providing Monitoring services and Backup services on opex model.
