JDSU TrueSpeed VNF test solution offers 40% cut in customer service costs

Wireless test vendor JDSU announced the launch of TrueSpeed VNF that assists telecom service providers to resolve customer complaints about poor network performance.

TrueSpeed VNF solution is designed to assess customer quality of experience in a virtualized computing environment. TrueSpeed VNF will enable telecom service providers to cut customer services costs by up to 40 percent, said JDSU.

JDSU said telecom operators can deploy the virtualized network function (VNF) software anywhere in the telecom network. It’s interoperable with JDSU’s StrataSync-enabled T-BERD/MTS handheld network instruments.

The main benefits of deploying TrueSpeed VNF to telecom operators include workforce efficiency including reduction in service call times, reduction in dispatches and increased testing flexibility.

TrueSpeed VNF provides centralized, software-based test capabilities with embedded software clients that generate standardized measurements, said JDSU. Operators can streamline troubleshooting from a central site and generate replicable throughput measurements resulting in increased customer satisfaction with fewer service technicians dispatched.

“TrueSpeed VNF will ignite confidence among network operators and enterprises knowing that a dynamic solution developed in close collaboration with customers will ensure quality and reliability when deploying, installing and maintaining in a virtual world,” said Sue Spradley, senior vice president and general manager in JDSU’s Network and Service Enablement business segment.
