CSG in managed services deal with MTN South Africa

CSG International announced its managed services deal with MTN South Africa to streamline its operations.

The company did not share financial details of the multiyear agreement.

CSG will provide management of MTN wholesale billing and business services platform. The engagement includes the management of a variety of complex solutions, from CSG products and services such as CSG Singleview, CSG Route, and CSG Interconnect, to home-grown MTN tools and systems from other third-party providers.

Neil Tomkinson, chief information officer of MTN South Africa, said: “Management of our billing stack by CSG will allow us to remain competitive and serve our customers better by enabling us to bring new products to market faster, to invest in innovative new service offerings, and to reinvest the cost savings from the managed services engagement back into strategic business solutions.”

CSG managed services enable MTN South Africa to gain significant process improvements by having CSG assume accountability for the entire wholesale product and services domain and manage a wide variety of subcontractors on behalf of MTN.
