Swisscom selects Aptilo Networks to support Wi-Fi offerings

Swiss telecoms provider Swisscom has selected Aptilo Networks to provide service management to support Wi-Fi offerings.

Aptilo said it has integrated its Service Management Platform (SMP) with Swisscom’s existing systems to leverage new technologies and deploy new services.

Swisscom Wi-Fi network, with more than 20,000 access points and 17 million Wi-Fi sessions per month, is deployed at hotels, restaurants, railway stations, airports, universities, businesses, stadiums and other public places throughout Switzerland.

Aptilo ServiceGlue functionality in Aptilo SMP allows service providers to define advanced functionality with configurable rule-sets making Aptilo SMP easy to integrate with a minimal impact on existing systems.

Service provider can upgrade to Aptilo SMP while keeping the existing systems and functionality, and benefit from Aptilo’s Wi-Fi service management system for new services.
