Telenor restructures top team with 3 new EVPs

Telecom service provider Telenor has restructured its top management by appointing three new executive vice presidents (EVPs).

Henrik Clausen, Katja Christina Nordgaard and Pal Wien Espen are the new EVPs of the Telenor Group.

As part of the restructuring, Telenor will merge the Strategy and Digital units and establish a new Corporate Affairs unit.

Headed by Henrik Clausen, the Strategy and Digital unit will take care the company’s strategy to drive Telenor’s digital agenda and support its operations in the digital services space.

Telenor-new-EVPs

Henrik Clausen was the CEO of Malaysian mobile operator DiGi that consistently captured market share in Malaysia. DiGi follows the concept of Internet for All, which now is one of Telenor Group’s three strategic pillars across its 13 markets.

Headed by Katja Christina Nordgaard (in pix), the newly formed Corporate Affairs unit of Telenor will aim to strengthen communication and interaction with key stakeholders, including governments and the public.

Nordgaard currently holds the position as Norwegian Ambassador to Thailand and Cambodia.

Pal Wien Espen will be the EVP of Telenor’s legal affairs department.
