CA Technologies announced that it hired Peter Griffiths as executive vice president of its Technology and Development Group.
Griffiths, who has more than 20 years experience in research and development, will join CA Technologies at the end of May and will report directly to CEO Bill McCracken. Griffiths succeeds Ajei Gopal who is leaving CA Technologies.

His extensive software development experience and ability to foster collaboration across multiple disciplines will be key to our efforts to build out our solutions offerings for cloud, distributed and mainframe environments.”
Our strong internal development coupled with key acquisitions over the 18 months, have given us one of the strongest management and security software portfolios in the industry. It is Peter’s charge to work with our Customer Solutions Group and sales team to further improve that portfolio to continually meet the needs of our customers,” McCracken added.
Griffiths comes to CA Technologies from IBM where for the past two years he has been vice president of Worldwide Research and Development Business, Analytics and Applications. At IBM, he also has held the post of vice president, Products, IBM Cognos Software.
