Microsoft launches Touch Mouse in India

Microsoft India announced the launch of the Touch Mouse
that makes everyday tasks more fluid and intuitive by using natural gestures
instead of clicks.

Exclusively designed for Windows 7, the new Microsoft
Touch Mouse combines the virtues of the old familiar mouse with multi-touch
gestures. It marries natural human gestures with the ability of an electronic
mouse and helps click, flick, scroll, pan, tilt and swipe on Windows 7
seamlessly. A first of a kind in India, the Touch Mouse is soothingly
captivating, given its fluid, rhythmic movements, seamless and unobstructed
surface, and multi-functionality.

Touch today is increasingly becoming a fun way of
interacting with devices. When it comes to mice, while the desktop users want
precision and control, the gesture of their fingers exceeds the power with the
touch mouse. This is the first time we’ve married the control and precision of
a mouse with the interactivity that touch delivers on the PC. With Touch Mouse,
we are giving a simple and complimentary experience to all the Windows 7 users
like never possible before,” said Satish Parreddi, senior category manager
Microsoft Hardware India.

The Touch Mouse’s multi-touch functionality helps users
navigate easier and faster with a flick of their fingers. The look-and-feel of
the new Touch Mouse is delightfully simple, yet pleasing to the eye minimal
edges, curvaceous corners, and softly sloping.

Recently, Microsoft has announced
the public beta of Microsoft Office 365, the company’s next generation cloud
productivity service for businesses of all sizes, in India.

Office 365 was introduced in limited beta last year,
bringing together Microsoft Office, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online and Lync
Online in an always-up-to-date cloud service. The public beta, available
at, allows people in
India and across the world to try Office 365 for the first time. Globally, more
than 70 percent of the organizations that signed up for the limited beta were
small businesses with fewer than 25 employees.
