A top telecom operator in Asia Pacific selected billing software provider Redknee Solutions’ policy management solution to support its voice over LTE (VoLTE) services.
Redknee on Thursday said the tier 1 APAC operator is launching Redknee’s latest release of its Policy Management solution.
The policy management solution will enable the telecoms to bring out new data plans and offerings and deliver better customer experience to 4G LTE users.
Redknee did not disclose the name of the telecoms.
Infonetics Research says policy engine is essential to achieve full benefits of LTE.
By selecting Redknee’s policy charging and rating function solution (PCRF), PCS-5000, the 4G operator will benefit from the significant enhancements in operational flexibility, superior performance and support of multi-service network environments and services, such as VoLTE.
Redknee’s solution allows service providers to efficiently define and create their own policies quickly. Through its productized approach, Redknee minimizes integration and customization requirements and therefore reduces the cost and time-to-market to deploy its policy management solution.
Redknee’s PCS-5000 supports more than 55 operators with nearly 1.2 billion subscribers across the world, enabling operators to maximize the return on their 4G investment.
