Telstra signs contact center services deal with Flat Planet

Telecom Lead Asia: Telstra Global has signed a deal with Flat Planet, a virtual talent company in Australia, to offer cloud-based virtual contact center (VCC) services.

The global supplier of managed network and hosting services will support the global expansion of Flat Planet that provides Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services to customers across Australia, Asia, North America and Europe.

Telstra Global’s VCC service enables BPO contact centres to improve customer service. Flat Planet is Telstra Global’s first external customer on the VCC global platform.

Chris Moriarty, chief executive, Flat Planet, said: “This type of public cloud innovation blended with the reliability of Telstra’s network and hosting services is an unbeatable combination.”

Telstra Global Director for Portfolio and Marketing Nathan Bell said: “The commercial and operational agility delivered by the VCC platform acts as an enabler to accelerated growth.”
