HCL Infosystems’ ME tablets at Rs 5,999

Telecom Lead Asia: HCL Infosystems has introduced new ME tablets.

The price of HCL ME U2 tablet is Rs 5,999; HCL ME V1 – Rs 7,999 and HCL ME Y3 – Rs 11,999.

Unmukt Chand, the U-19 Indian cricket team skipper who led the team to victory in the ICC U-19 World Cup 2012, is the brand ambassador for HCL ME tablets.

Gautam Advani, global head, Mobility Business Unit, HCL Infosystems, said its tablets created substantial space of its own in the market in a short span of time.

HCL is targeting to strengthen its Phablet category with the new launches.

HCL ME Y3 features 1 Ghz Cortex A9 CPU, built-in GPS & FM Radio, a mini HDMI Port and a dual SIM.

HCL ME V1 features EDGE Data support, a dual camera, built in proximity sensor, 1 GB DDR3 RAM for faster processing, 3200 mAH Li-Po Battery and supports up to 11 3G USB dongles.

HCL ME U2 has 1 Ghz Cortex A9, 1 GB DDR3 RAM, full HD, support up to 16 external dongles and mini HDMI.

The HCL ME tablets will be supported by an integrated back up service – HCL Touch, a 24X7 one touch service facility.

The new tablets are available in select cities currently and will be available across the country by February 2013 onwards.
