Zain to renovate telecom network, selects Ericsson

Telecom Lead Middle East: Zain has selected Ericsson to renovate its communication network.

Zain will utilize Ericsson’s network core switch technology and charging system solutions.

Smartphone users account for 42 percent of mobile phone users in Jordan and are driving exponential mobile data growth.

Ericsson will enable Zain to handle exponential mobile data growth while reducing operating costs and improving quality of service for its customers.

“Enriching our customers’ experience and enriching the value provided to our customers drive us always to make enhancements and upgrades on our network; with this upgrade our individual customers will enjoy bundled voice and data services with tailored offering and controlled spending; as well our enterprise customers will enjoy our integrated services with flexible, tailored and bundled offers,” said Ahmad Al Hanandeh, CEO of Zain Jordan.

The 5-year contract also includes charging solutions and related services. Zain Jordan’s subscribers will enjoy personalized services and customized pricing packages as well as increased promotions, rewards and incentives that are tailored to their usage.

Mobile users will have the option to have their business and private calls separately billed while also benefiting from cost control services which will enable them to limit their consumption of certain services.
