Restaurant Brands New Zealand rolls out MICROS enterprise solution

MICROS Systems, a provider of information technology
solutions for the hospitality industry, announced that Restaurant Brands New
Zealand has completed the rollout of MICROS in all of its 98 Kentucky Fried
Chicken (KFC) stores.

The implementation included MICROS
Restaurant Enterprise Series Point of Sale (POS), Forecasting, Labor Management,
Kitchen Display Systems (KDS), Business Intelligence and
myinventory Stock Control.

Complementing the 82 Pizza Hut outlets already operating
with MICROS, this enterprise solution has resulted in more efficient service
and improved outlet forecasting within only a few months of operation.

A New Zealand operator of three world famous brands, KFC,
Pizza Hut and Starbucks Coffee, Restaurant Brands employs over 4,500 people to
ensure the total experience delivered to over 60,000 customers daily remains as
distinguished as the products themselves.

“We strive to deliver not only a quality product,
but also memorable service in comfortable environments. The implementation of
MICROS throughout our KFC stores has improved our overall operational
efficiencies, allowing us to spend more time focusing on our customers,”
said Geoff Holton, commercial manager IT of RestaurantBrands.

“With up to the minute visibility of individual
outlet performance, we now know where and how to allocate additional resources
and can provide a better working environment for our employees,” said
Grant Ellis, chief financial officer, Restaurant Brands New Zealand.

“Within a very short period of time, after each
store implemented the MICROS enterprise solution, we noticed improvements
across a range of key performance indicators,” Ellis added.

“We are very pleased to have been selected by
Restaurant Brands for its KFC restaurants and appreciate the strong partnership
we have enjoyed since 2001,” said Stefan M. Piringer, president of MICROS
Asia Pacific.

“We congratulate Restaurant Brands on the successful
completion of this project and are pleased to see yet another successful
deployment of our solutions to the quick service restaurant market. We
look forward to growing our strong partnership with Restaurant Brands for many
years to come,” Piringer added.
