Globe Telecom H1 2026: Revenue Hits ₱85.4 bn, Mobile Subscribers Reach 67.7 mn, Broadband Users Grow to 2.4 mn, Capex Jumps 39%

Globe Telecom delivered record first-half 2026 financial results, driven by mobile services, accelerating broadband growth, expanding AI-enabled enterprise solutions, and investments in digital infrastructure.


The Philippine telecom operator reported record service revenues of ₱85.4 billion, up 6 percent year over year, while EBITDA increased 6 percent to ₱44.9 billion, with an EBITDA margin of 52.6 percent. Net income after tax (NIAT) stood at ₱11.0 billion, while core net income reached ₱10.2 billion.

Mobile remained Globe’s largest business, generating ₱60.4 billion in revenue during the first half, an increase of 6 percent from a year earlier. Second-quarter mobile revenue reached ₱30.4 billion, while mobile data revenue climbed 10 percent year over year to ₱53.9 billion, accounting for 89 percent of total mobile service revenue.

Globe’s mobile subscriber base expanded to 67.7 million, supported by stronger digital adoption and improved network quality. Mobile data users increased 5 percent to 39.6 million, while mobile data traffic surged to 3,723 petabytes from 3,187 petabytes a year earlier.

Average monthly data usage rose to 17 GB per subscriber from 15 GB, reflecting growing consumption of AI applications, video streaming, gaming, e-commerce, digital payments, and productivity services. The company, however, did not disclose ARPU figures in its earnings release.

Globe’s broadband business also delivered solid growth. Home broadband revenue increased 6 percent year over year to ₱12.4 billion, with second-quarter revenue reaching ₱6.3 billion, marking the fifth consecutive quarter of sequential growth.

Wired broadband subscribers climbed 32 percent to more than 2.0 million. Broadband subscribers of Globe reached 2.4 million. GFiber Prepaid subscribers grew to 1.1 million, and fiber contributed approximately 93 percent of total home broadband revenue, highlighting Globe’s continued migration toward higher-value fiber services.

The enterprise business recorded strong digital momentum, with Corporate Data revenue reaching an all-time high of ₱11.0 billion, up 15 percent year over year. Globe said it is expanding its portfolio of AI-enabled enterprise solutions and digital infrastructure to help businesses improve operational efficiency and accelerate digital transformation.

The company’s digital ecosystem also continued to strengthen through GCash parent Mynt, whose quarterly revenue reached an all-time high of ₱22.4 billion. Globe’s equity share in Mynt’s net income totaled ₱3.7 billion, representing 28 percent of Globe’s pre-tax income.

Globe significantly increased investment in network and digital infrastructure during the first half. Capital expenditure (Capex) rose 39 percent year over year to ₱26.3 billion, equivalent to 31 percent of service revenue. Around 91 percent of total Capex was allocated to data-related investments, including network expansion and digital infrastructure. During the period, Globe deployed 80,052 new fiber-to-the-home lines and added 878 new 5G sites. Its 5G network now covers more than 98 percent of the outdoor population across Metro Manila and key cities, while expanding to 215 towns with at least 80 percent population coverage. Globe also expanded international 5G roaming to 200 inbound and 188 outbound partners across 130 destinations.
