The company’s AI data center (AIDC) business remained its fastest-growing segment. AIDC revenue increased 92.5 percent year over year to KRW 136.2 billion, driven by expanding operations and rising demand for high-performance AI infrastructure from global technology companies.

To accelerate expansion, SK Telecom established SK Hyper, which will develop large-scale AI data centers with a target of delivering 5 GW of combined capacity in phases beginning in 2029. The company said SK Hyper will secure land, power capacity and global customers to strengthen its AI infrastructure leadership.

SK Telecom reported additions in mobile subscribers, supported by customer-focused marketing initiatives and higher customer lifetime value. The operator introduced integrated 5G and LTE pricing plans in July to improve service accessibility and enhance customer experience. However, the earnings release did not disclose total subscriber numbers or ARPU figures for the quarter. SK Telecom will share more details on August 8.
