AT&T Completes $23 Billion EchoStar Spectrum Deal to Expand Nationwide 5G and AI-Ready Network
AT&T has completed its approximately $23 billion acquisition of selected wireless spectrum licenses from EchoStar, strengthening its nationwide 5G network. The transaction adds approximately 30 MHz of nationwide 3.45 GHz mid-band spectrum and approximately 20 MHz of nationwide 600 MHz low-band spectrum, covering virtually every market across the United States. The additional spectrum will enhance 5G capacity, improve download speeds, and strengthen the network’s superior uplink performance to support AI-ready connectivity and next-generation wireless services.
