Comcast has completed a major network expansion in underserved areas of Spokane County, Washington, extending high-speed, symmetrical broadband to more than 2,200 homes and businesses. The expansion covers communities including Chattaroy, Four Lakes, and Medical Lake, improving digital access for residents, small businesses, and public institutions. The upgraded infrastructure enables access to Comcast’s Xfinity services such as high-speed internet, streaming, mobile connectivity, voice, and home security solutions. Local authorities noted that improved broadband availability will support economic development, remote work, education, and digital inclusion in previously unserved or underserved regions.

Brightspeed has upgraded its fiber broadband lineup by making next-generation WiFi 7 technology available across all gig-speed plans, including its newly launched 5 Gig tiers, alongside 1 Gig, 2 Gig and 8 Gig offerings. The rollout is designed to deliver faster speeds, lower latency and improved capacity to handle multiple connected devices simultaneously. WiFi 7 enables smoother performance for bandwidth-intensive activities such as 4K/8K streaming, cloud gaming, video conferencing and smart-home applications.
