Tim Hottges retains CEO job at Deutsche Telekom

Telecom operator Deutsche Telekom has extended contract of Tim Hottges, CEO, ahead of schedule until the end of 2028.

Tim Hottges is aged 62. Under his leadership since January 2014, Deutsche Telekom has achieved significant milestones, including the merger of T-Mobile and Sprint in the US, extensive investments in fiber-optic and 5G expansion, and a focus on achieving climate neutrality by 2040.

Tim Hottges has played a pivotal role in transforming Deutsche Telekom into a global leader in telecommunications.

He has previously held key roles in finance, controlling, and mobile communications at the company, and was instrumental in major corporate initiatives like the merger of VIAG and VEBA into E.on AG. He has also been recognized with honors such as the Appeal of Consciences Award in 2019 and an honorary doctorate from Ben Gurion University in 2022.
