Who’s Srinivasan Gopalan, the new COO of T-Mobile US?

Srinivasan Gopalan has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of T-Mobile US, effective March 1, 2025.

Srinivasan Gopalan will be reporting directly to CEO Mike Sievert.

Srinivasan Gopalan will oversee the company’s technology initiatives and go-to-market operations across Consumer and Business segments.

He brings nearly four years of experience as a T-Mobile Board member, where he played a critical role in shaping the company’s strategic direction and contributed significantly through key committees.

Srinivasan Gopalan has a distinguished global leadership background, having held senior roles at Bharti Airtel, CapitalOne UK, Vodafone, and T-Mobile UK, where he contributed to its joint venture with Orange. He also served as Managing Director of Telekom Deutschland, where he led Deutsche Telekom’s largest market through a successful digital transformation and strategic growth.

Srinivasan Gopalan is recognized for his expertise in operational excellence, digital transformation, and customer-centric strategies. Srinivasan Gopalan has a proven track record of leading large-scale technology initiatives and executing growth-focused go-to-market strategies.

CEO Mike Sievert highlighted Gopalan’s deep understanding of technology, operations, and T-Mobile’s business, describing him as the ideal leader to drive the company’s ongoing multi-year transformation plan and accelerate its momentum.

Srinivasan Gopalan, in his new role, will focus on enhancing customer experiences through data-informed, AI-enabled, and digital-first strategies while strengthening T-Mobile’s leadership in advanced 5G solutions and next-generation mobile network standards.

He will also drive integrated go-to-market strategies to align with the company’s unique growth objectives. Srinivasan Gopalan will oversee T-Mobile’s senior leadership team, including the Presidents of Consumer, Business, and Technology Groups, as well as the Chief Information and Digital Officer.
