T-Mobile has revealed that its capital expenditure decreased 7 percent to $2.5 billion in Q1 2025. T-Mobile is targeting annual Capex of approximately $9.5 billion.

In Q1 2024, T-Mobile’s Postpaid ARPA was $140.88 and showed a steady increase through the year, reaching $146.28 in Q4 2024, and remained nearly flat at $146.22 in Q1 2025. Postpaid phone ARPU began at $48.79 in Q1 2024, rose slightly to $49.79 in Q3, and stayed consistent at $49.73 and $49.38 in the following two quarters. Prepaid ARPU, on the other hand, started at $37.18 in Q1 2024 and declined steadily over the year, ending at $34.67 in Q1 2025.

Mike Sievert, CEO of T-Mobile, said: “A record number of customers chose the Uncarrier in Q1 — we grew postpaid gross additions across the board and our High Speed Internet business led the industry in net customer additions for the 13th straight quarter.”

T-Mobile has added 424,000 high-speed Internet customers.

Bellevue, Washington-based T-Mobile added 495,000 monthly bill-paying customers in the first three months of 2025.

AT&T added 324,000 monthly bill-paying wireless phone subscribers in Q1 2025. AT&T’s revenue rose 2 percent to $30.6 billion in the first quarter.

Verizon reported loss of 289,000 monthly bill-paying wireless subscribers in the first quarter. Verizon’s first-quarter grew 1.5 percent to $33.5 billion.

T-Mobile’s prepaid unit earlier this week unveiled four new plans that provide a five-year price guarantee and monthly charges as low as $25 per line. The company has plans to launch its satellite-to-cell service, powered by SpaceX’s Starlink, in July. The final pricing for the satellite service would be $10 a month and T-Mobile will maintain that price for at least a year, Mike Sievert said.
