Vodafone expands 4G coverage to Rohtak in Haryana

Telecom network operator Vodafone India on Friday announced the expansion of its 4G coverage – on 1800 MHz spectrum band — to Rohtak in Haryana.

The pan-India mobile service provider does not share specific details on its 4G investment plans for India. Vodafone has plans to further expand 4G coverage in Haryana. Vodafone 4G services are available in select towns in Kerala, Karnataka, Kolkata, Delhi & NCR and Mumbai.

Sakshi Malik, the RIO 2016 Bronze medal winner, was present at the 4G launch as the chief guest. Vodafone India has 5.5 million mobile customers in Haryana.

In its second phase of launch, Vodafone 4G will be available in 1,000 towns across the country by end of the year. The nine circles of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Karnataka, Kerala, Haryana, Gujarat, UP (E) and West Bengal, together contribute to under 70 percent of Vodafone India’s data revenues.

“Beginning with key business and residential corridors of Karnal,Panipat and Sonipat; Vodafone is now expanding its services across Rohtak and the entire state in a phased manner,” said Mohit Narru, business head – Haryana, Vodafone India.
