Russian telecom operator YOTA Networks launches LTE

Telecom Lead Europe: Russian operator YOTA Networks has
launched the first commercial LTE network in Moscow. Huawei is powering the LTE
4G network.

Huawei supplies YOTA Networks with end-to-end SingleRAN
LTE/EPC solution and built the commercial LTE network on 2.6GHz. The solution
provides downlink peak rate of up to 70Mbps and 140Mbps depending on the
capacity of the radio channel (10 or 20 MHz), showing excellent performance for
mobile broadband networks.

We are proud to be chosen as a partner of YOTA Networks,
and further on we intend to support this operator in the launch of the most
advanced services. Huawei has already realized a large number of projects of
LTE commercial launch in many countries. The launch of such network in Moscow
is a major step in the development of mobile broadband access market in
Russia,” said Sergey Varyukhin, vice president of Key Customer Operation
Department of Huawei in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

The launch was preceded by all-round testing at April –
May 2012 showed stable features and high availability of the operator’s
network.

According to the latest GSA’s LTE Evolution Report
released in April 2011, there are 64 commercial LTE networks launched globally.
31 of them are using Huawei’s end-to-end SingleRAN solution. Huawei is now
ranking No.1 worldwide with nearly 50 percent market share.
