Idea Cellular has made investment towards Capex for expanding its 4G services in Jammu & Kashmir including the Srinagar town.
Idea Cellular, which recently launched 4G in Mumbai metro circle, said its 4G coverage is available in 26 towns of Jammu & Kashmir, including Udhampur, Katra, Samba, Poonch, Rajauri, Kathua, in addition to Srinagar.
Idea Cellular said it plans to add nearly 100 4G sites in J&K in the next one month including 60 sites in Srinagar alone.
Idea Cellular is giving its 4G SIMs at its company retail store at Karan Nagar and other telecom retail stores for customers. At present, Idea Cellular has 7 lakh customers in Jammu & Kashmir telecom circle.
“Internet has the power to transform people’s lives and we are confident that Idea 4G will fulfill the infotainment needs of the local citizens,” said Sudhir Pradhan, chief operating officer – Punjab, HP and J&K, Idea Cellular.
“We will continue to invest in network and distribution to expand 4G coverage in J&K over the next few months,” Sudhir Pradhan said.
Idea Cellular said its mobile broadband services are currently available to nearly 500 million Indians across nearly 100,000 towns and villages.
Idea 4G plans
For the first recharge of Rs 148, Idea customers can make free Idea-to-Idea calls across India and 4G handset customers will get 2GB 4G data for 28 days.
Idea plan priced at Rs 357 offers free voice calls across all networks in India and customers with 4G handsets will get 1GB 4G Data daily for 28 days.
Under the Rs 499 postpaid plan, Idea customers get unlimited local, national and incoming roaming calls with 5GB free data. 4G handset users will get additional 10GB data per month for 3 months.
Idea Cellular’s Data Jackpot Offer for postpaid subscribers give up to 10GB 4G data for Rs 100 via My Idea app. Idea is also offering Rs 300 data pack for free till March 2018 with Ultimate 499 Plan, giving 30GB data (1GB per Day) on 4G Handset and 3GB Data per month on non-4G handset.
Idea Cellular is also offering 90 days free subscription to three Idea apps including Music Lounge, Idea Movie Club, and Idea Game Spark till 30 September, 2017 – to all Idea 4G / 3G customers in J&K.
