Huawei signs managed services deal with Menatelecom for expanding WiMax in Bahrain

Huawei Technologies announced that Menatelecom awarded
the 2012-2013 managed services contract to Huawei Technologies.

 

 

The agreement will enable Menatelecom to continue the
expansion and development of its WiMAX network with advanced voice and
broadband services for consumers and enterprises across Bahrain.

 

 

Menatelecom chairman Abdulhakeem Al Khayyat and senior
executives along with Huawei Middle East president Stephen Yi and
vice-president Gorden Wu attended
the official signing ceremony.

 

 

Leveraging Huawei’s advanced capabilities, Menatelecom
will be able to further develop advanced services for its customers in Bahrain.

 

 

Huawei Technologies will join global giant Tech Mahindra
in managing Menatelecom’s WiMAX 16e network and ensuring that Menatelecom
continues to provide the most powerful Internet services in the kingdom.

has had the unique opportunity of significantly contributing to the development
of the kingdom’s technological advances and making a significant mark on a
global scale while at the same time creating a prosperous telecom
business,” said Al Khayyat, managing director and chief executive officer
of Kuwait Finance House – Bahrain.

telecommunications field, we are confident that we will make even greater
strides in the future.We are also confident that we will continue providing the
best customer support and most reliable services to our loyal customers,”
Khayyat added.

 

 

As technology continues to evolve and our customer base
continues to increase, this agreement will allow Menatelecom to continue
enhancing its Internet services with more features and more capabilities in
accordance with its vision and mission to provide the most powerful Internet
services to its clients in Bahrain.

 

 

Menatelecom’s solutions include high-speed Internet
access with unlimited downloads and dedicated speeds up to 150Mb in addition to
VPN solutions, carrier pre-select service, international private leased
circuit, multi-protocol label switching and data centre hosting to name a few.

 

 

All these services are enhanced and monitored by a
network operations centre working round the clock to ensure a seamless
operation.

 

 

It is supported by a call centre managing customer
queries, in addition to a dedicated Business helpdesk for corporate customers.
