TRAI’s mobile Internet speed test app is continuing to show that Reliance Jio is far behind Bharti Airtel in terms of 4G speeds across the country.
The 4G speed test shows that Airtel is offering an average upload speed of 11.4 Mbps against 7.7 Mbps from Reliance Communications, 7.6 Mbps from Idea Cellular, 7.3 Mbps from Vodafone and 6.1 Mbps from Jio.
The result, which is available for October 28, on mobile Internet speed represent the average of the data speed samples collected from various consumers of the TSPs on a crowd sourcing basis during speed test initiated by them.
TRAI does not share additional details on the number of people who initiated speed test and the number of cities.
Earlier, Jio informed that the telecom network operator will take necessary action to improve the 4G speed during the free services and after launching for commercial purposes.
Idea Cellular is leading the 4G upload speed test with 4.1 Mbps against Vodafone’s 4 Mbps, Bharti Airtel’s 3.8 Mbps, Jio’s 2.3 Mbps and Reliance Communications’ 2 Mbps.
