Telecom network operator Bharti Airtel today announced the expansion of its 4G services – on the 1800 MHz spectrum — to Uttar Pradesh.
Airtel 4G is now available in 13 major towns of Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Allahabad, Agra, Aligarh, Bulandshahar, Hapur, Mathura, Modinagar, Muzzafarnagar and Meerut.
Bharti Airtel, the first telecom operator to launch 4G in India, said its 4G services will reach 200 plus towns in Uttar Pradesh in coming months.
Bharti Airtel customers can enjoy 4G at 3G prices. Airtel is offering 2GB free 4G data by upgrading their existing SIMs to U-SIM and dialing 52122.
Airtel 4G service is now available in 21 circles across India.
The company has set up special demo zones and kiosks at all the Own and Franchisee Airtel retail stores in these places respectively. Customers across these cities in Uttar Pradesh can switch their existing 2G/3G SIMs with 4G ready USIMs completely free of cost at any Airtel store/ retailer in the city.
