MTS India expands broadband network in Rajasthan

Telecom Lead Asia: MTS India (Sistema Shyam TeleServices) has expanded its mobile broadband service — MBlaze — in 31 new towns across Rajasthan.
With this roll out, MTS has expanded its high speed data footprint to over 90 towns across Rajasthan.
Ashish Bhatia, chief operating officer – Rajasthan Circle, MTS India, said: “MTS is focused on expanding its high speed data network across the country. This latest expansion will enable MTS data customers to experience high speed data services including Live TV and Video-on-Demand.”

MTS has more than 160,000 data customers across Rajasthan and with further expansion in our HSD footprint in the state, the telecom operator expects to add many more customers in the next few months.

At present, MTS provides mobile broadband services in over 350 towns across India. The company is expanding its high speed data network and currently addresses over 60 percent of data potential across India.

MTS on Tuesday said customers buying a new MBlaze connection need to pay Rs 1,199 to get an MBlaze dongle along with 10 GB data usage with 30 day validity. Additionally, customers can also carry forward their unused data balance on subsequent recharges of STV 375, STV 490 & STV 647 done within the validity.

In addition, MTS customers get unlimited social media plan at Rs 647. The social media plan, according to MTS, provides unlimited access to Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter for a month. Additionally, customers also get 4 GB data usage.

To attract mobile customers, MTS has also introduced a daily usage plan, providing unlimited data usage for 1 day at Rs 96.
