Telecom Lead America: VoX Communications, a
provider of VoIP and video telephone service, via its subsidiary Pervasip, is offering
one month of international calling free as part of its Yahoo Mobile advertising
campaign.
In order to avail the offer, users can submit promotional
code for free first month of international calling.
“Our Yahoo campaign began last week and produced
more downloads than we expected. Many people subscribe to our offer of 60
minutes of free calling to 60 countries, but we have to contact those
subscribers again to convert them into paying subscribers,” said, Barry
MacCheyne, chief marketing officer at VOX.
With this new free offering, the company aims to capture
the subscriber’s credit card information. The information will allow the
company to bill the subscriber every month thereafter until the subscriber
cancels the service.
The company said that consumers are responding to its
campaign positively, which will allow it to attract them into becoming
long-term customers through basic international calling plans for
free.
A VoX user can subscribe to the service entirely on the
phone and choose a U.S. phone number without leaving the interface.
The company will include the basic,
UK, Brazil, Mexico and India plans in this promotion.
For the service, there is no commitment fee, early termination fee or activation
fees associated with the free month offer.
