Vodafone India slashes voice and data charges targeting Jio users

Vodafone network India
India telecom operator Vodafone has further reduced the tariff for making voice call and data use.

The company’s latest tariff is currently available to pre-paid customers in Delhi and NCR region who wish to join Vodafone’s SuperNet 4G network. Delhi and NCR region is one of the main telecom markets for all top telecom operators in India.

The strategy of Vodafone is to tap customers who are unhappy with the increase in the price of rival mobile operators. Reliance Jio has started offering revised price for its data packages. Vodafone aims to tap customers of Reliance Jio in the capital region.

For a first recharge of Rs 496, customers who join Vodafone will get unlimited local and STD voice calls, free national outgoing and incoming roaming and 1GB of data per day for 84 days. Vodafone is targeting heavy internet users and frequent roamers with the Rs 496 plan.

Vodafone India is also offering another cost effective plan with unlimited local and STD voice calls and 1GB of data for 28 days at Rs 177. Vodafone is offering these first recharges for MNP (mobile number portability) customers also.
