Vodafone Idea inks deal with Paytm to assist pre-paid users

Vodafone Idea announced a partnership with Paytm, a digital payments company, assisting its pre-paid customers to reduce cost of their pre-paid spending on voice and data services in India.

Vodafone Idea is India’s leading telecom service provider with over 408 million customers and revenue market share of 32.2 percent in Q1 2018-19.

Vodafone and Idea pre-paid customers who transact for the first time on Paytm, will get an assured cash-back of Rs 25 on a minimum recharge of Rs 149 done through Paytm. Existing Paytm users will receive cash-back of Rs 20.

Customers will get vouchers worth Rs 375 from Paytm which can be used to buy movie tickets and to shop on Paytm Mall.

New plan in Tamil Nadu

Vodafone Idea has also introduced All-Rounder Recharge – a combo offering for Vodafone pre-paid customers in Chennai and Tamil Nadu.

Prepaid customers, especially those who buy sachet recharges, can recharge separately for talk-time, tariff and mobile internet.

Vodafone All-Rounder Recharge offers simplicity of a single recharge by bundling talk time, free data and a discounted tariff rate, starting Rs 25. These packs will enable phone customers with even small ticket-sizes to enjoy enhanced connectivity through both voice and data.
