Vodafone bags M2M deal from JCB India

Vodafone aims for 500Mbps speed
Telecom network operator Vodafone India has bagged a machine-to-machine (M2M) deal from JCB India, a manufacturer of construction equipment.

Vodafone Business Services will support JCB’s Livelink, a telematics system to allow remote monitoring of its construction equipment and provide information on service, operation and security of the equipment.

“The VBS M2M powered Livelink will help the users of the JCB construction equipment to manage the efficiency, maintenance and health of the equipment. JCB customers will manage working versus idle time, fuel usage and identify small problems before they cause unscheduled downtime,” said Nick Gliddon, director – Vodafone Business Services.

Vodafone, which is active in M2M solutions and Internet of Things (IoT) market, has the capability to maintain over 10 billion SIMs. It aims for more M2M / IoT deals in segments such as healthcare and automobiles.
