VimpelCom announces two key appointments

VimpelCom on Wednesday announced two key appointments.

It promoted Anton Kudryashov to the group executive board as chief group business development and portfolio officer.

The telecom operator has also appointed Mikhail Slobodin as head of the Russia Business Unit.

Anton Kudryashov will be based at the group headquarters in Amsterdam, responsible for business development and Mergers and Acquisitions, as well as strategic Business Control. Anton’s contract has been extended to 31 December 2016.

Last month, VimpelCom appointed Andrew Davies as group chief financial officer and member of the Group Executive Board, succeeding Henk van Dalen.

Andrew Davies is joining VimpelCom from Vodafone, where he recently held the position of CFO of Verizon Wireless. Andrew will join VimpelCom when he has concluded his responsibilities at Vodafone, which will be no later than January 1 2014.
