Videocon Mobile Services to reward channel partners to boost market share from 0.44%

Telecom Lead India: To strengthen its presence in 9 circles and boost market share from 0.44 percent, Videocon Mobile Services has decided to reward its channel partners.

Videocon Mobile Services, as per the newly started channel partner connect program, will offer gifts immediately after the enrollment. This means that select channel partners will get gifts in advance, Videocon said.

These exemplary gifts include 5 Star Trips to Bangkok worth Rs 60,000 each, 42” LEDs worth Rs 45,000 each, 32” Videocon LEDs worth Rs 27,500 each and 26” LEDs worth Rs 22,000 each.

The channel partner program is vital for Videocon Mobile Services which has around 0.44 percent market share in Indian mobile market against market leader Bharti Airtel’s 21.35 percent according to January 2013 data from TRAI.

In January 2013, Videocon Mobile Services lost around 13,83,258 mobile subscribers. The company is targeting to launch 4G / LTE services to capture mobile market share in India.

The program is applicable for the top channel partners of Videocon Mobile Services from Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat Telecom circles.

Based on prior commitments, the selected associates stand to win exciting prizes upon enrolling for the scheme. Some of them fly to Bangkok within 2 weeks of Enrolment.

Arvind Bali, director and CEO, Videocon Mobile Services, said: “Through this engagement model, we seek to create a pertinent trust factor amongst our partners wherein we aim to assure our partners that they will form the core of our business and their association is invaluable to us.”
