TRAI launches mobile apps on UMANG platform

Indian telecom regulator TRAI announced the availability of TRAI Mobile Apps on UMANG platform.
TRAI chairmanUMANG provides a platform for all citizens to access pan India e-Gov services ranging from central to local Government bodies and other citizen centric services. TRAI’s Mobile Apps namely DND 2.0 and MyCall will be available on Umang Platform.

Umang has more than 50 lakhs downloads and TRAI apps individually have more than 4 lakhs downloads.

NeGD and TRAI have integrated DND 2.0 and My Call App on UMANG Android platform with a view to increase reachability and facilitate citizens. Consumers having Android phones can either download the TRAI apps individually from Google Play store or can Access it directly from the Umang application.

TRAI MyCall application is for crowd-sourced voice call quality monitoring among India’s 1000 million plus customers. The Application helps mobile phone users to rate their experience about voice call quality in real time.

DND 2.0 App enables smartphone users to register their mobile number under DND and report spam messages or calls to avoid unsolicited commercial communication (UCC)/ telemarketing calls / SMS.
