Madhya Pradesh Plans Telecom Manufacturing Zone in Gwalior

The Madhya Pradesh government wants to build a Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ) in Gwalior. It expects Rs 12,000 crore investment and 5,000 jobs. The proposal is with the central government. To support this, a Tech Growth Conclave will be held in Indore on April 27. The event will bring together government, companies, and universities to push telecom and IT projects and launch new tech policies.

YTL Communications to Build Fiber Network Along Malaysian Railways

YTL Communications will build a fiber optic network along 1,600km of railway tracks in Malaysia. This is part of a project to improve digital connectivity and follow the National Broadband Plan. Fiberail’s existing agreements stay in place until 2032. The revenue from this project will help maintain stations and trains.

Mavenir Lays Off Workers in India

Gilat Receives $15 Million in Orders from Satellite Operators

Gilat Satellite Networks has secured over $15 million in orders from leading global satellite operators. These orders are for equipment used in GEO, MEO, and LEO satellite constellations, focusing on In-Flight Connectivity (IFC). The equipment will help meet the demand for broadband in mobility and remote services, with deliveries scheduled for 2025.
