T-Mobile has added 1.9 million customers in the fourth quarter. T-Mobile added 7.0 million users in 2019. AT&T and Verizon will be sharing the details of their customer additions when they reveal the financial results for 2019.

T-Mobile’s customer base was 86 million at year-end 2019, an increase of approximately 53 million since T-Mobile launched the Un-carrier in 2013.

“T-Mobile delivered another incredible fourth quarter with strong customer growth, despite a very competitive environment – and we did it while lighting up the country’s first nationwide 5G network,” said John Legere, CEO of T-Mobile.

John Legere earlier announced the resignation of John Legere from the CEO position amid struggle to combine the business of Sprint in a $26 billion deal.

The company lit up America’s first nationwide 5G network in the fourth quarter using 600 MHz spectrum – a foundational layer of its 5G network – covering more than 200 million people and more than 1 million square miles across the US.
