Spencer’s Retail partners with Airtel Payments Bank
Airtel Payments Bank said customers of Spencer’s Retail can make digital payments at their retail shops across 35 towns in India.

Airtel Payments Bank’s national digital payments ecosystem already has over one million merchants.

Airtel Payments Bank customers will get 10 percent cash-back on all digital payments for shopping at Spencer’s outlets — for the next 30 days.

Vir Inder Nath, CEO – West Bengal & Odisha, Bharti Airtel; and Vipin Bhandari, deputy CEO at Spencer’s Retail are instrumental in announcing the agreement.

Airtel Payments Bank is focusing on developing a merchant ecosystem of over five million partners including small stores, grocers, pharmacies, restaurants, etc.

Airtel Payments Bank has launched a Merchant App for digital onboarding of partners. Merchant partner can download this app from Google Playstore for free and start accepting digital payments instantaneously.

Mobile phone customers will Aadhaar number can open savings bank account with Airtel Payments Bank.

The customer’s mobile number will be his bank account number. The digital bank is offering 7.25 percent interest on deposits in savings accounts. The payments bank is also offering one minute of Airtel mobile talk-time for every rupee deposited at the time of opening a savings account. This apart, Airtel Payments Bank is offering free personal accidental insurance of Rs 1 lakh with every Savings Account.
