MWC 2014: AT&T launches 4G LTE data roaming in 13 more countries

At the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2014), Barcelona, AT&T has launched 4G LTE data roaming in 13 more countries.

With this, AT&T is remaining the only U.S. carrier to offer 4G LTE data speeds abroad and expanding the international LTE footprint available to its wireless customers to 15 countries—with more on the way, said AT&T at the MWC 2014.

In December, 2013 AT&T became the first U.S. carrier to offer LTE data roaming when it launched service in Canada.  Recently, AT&T launched LTE data roaming in the UKr.

As per today’s announcement, AT&T has expanded its international LTE footprint to now include Spain, France, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, Guam, Hong Kong and Antigua & Barbuda.

AT&T currently has agreements to allow for LTE roaming in over 200 countries.
