MTS Wi-Fi buyers to get Rs 1 lakh insurance cover

MTS India (Sistema Shyam TeleServices) has tied up with Oriental Insurance to offer accidental death insurance cover of Rs 1 lakh for one year to its new data customers.

The offer will be ending on 15 November.

Customers can buy prepaid MBlaze WiFi dongle for Rs 1499, while the cost of the postpaid dongle is Rs 1299. After buying the MTS data dongle, customers need to register their details at any of the 500 MTS branded retail stores to activate the insurance policy. Oriental Insurance will activate the policy within 7 working days from date of activation of MTS data dongle.

“A customer needs to walk into any of the 500 branded retail outlets of MTS and while buying a prepaid or postpaid data connection can also fill in the requisite details to get the insurance cover at no additional cost,” said Sandeep Yadav, chief marketing and brand officer – MTS India.

MTS said its customers need to submit their documents and receipt of Policy E Certificate to activate the insurance policy. The policy will provide 100 percent of the sum insured in case of death due to accident. The insured amount will be payable to nominee of the customer as per records.
