LG U+ (formerly known as LG Telecom) has
chosen  SPIRIT DSP’s TeamSpirit  Voice&Video Engine Mobile to
power HD-quality VVoIP (Voice & Video Over IP) calling on the company’s
popular U+070 Mobile application service.

Powered
by SPIRIT’s TeamSpirit Voice&Video Engine Mobile, U+070 Mobile users can
conduct mobile VVoIP calling with a crystal-clear HD-quality experience.

Launched at the end of 2011, LG U+’s U+070 Mobile
application is currently available on Android mobile devices, and will soon be
available on Apple’s operating systems iOS and other smartphones and tablets.

“SPIRIT’s capabilities for ensuring quality,
cross-platform calling has far exceeded other engine technologies, so we now
plan to use SPIRIT’s engines to support all our mobile VVoIP
applications,” said Samuel Hwang, general manager, LG U+.

LG U+ is the third largest carriers in South Korea,
pioneering many innovative VAS services and serving 9.5 million subscribers.

The TeamSpirit Voice&Video Engine is a digital
signal and network processing SDK optimized for mobile platforms and designed
for the rapid development of high-quality, multi-platform voice and video over
IP applications.

“LG U+ is a long-standing SPIRIT customer who has
come to rely on our proven and highly optimized, mobile engine technology to
handle voice and video processing and mitigate standard mobile VVoIP call
quality issues, including Android device tuning, cancelling acoustic echo,
network delays, jitter, lip synchronization and packet loss,” said Andrew
Sviridenko, chairman of SPIRIT.

The TeamSpirit Voice&Video Engine enables superior HD
voice and video communications on a wide variety of mobile and desktop platforms.

TeamSpirit allows developers to focus on their own
applications and quickly bring new products to market that include the best IP
calling experience possible.

Recently, SPIRIT DSP and Maaii, a mobile VoIP application provider in Hong Kong, joined hands to
offer cross-platform, integrated HD VoIP communications to consumers and mobile
operators.
