Indian mobile service provider market share chart for 2013 December

Bharti Airtel is continuing to lead the Indian mobile service provider market with 22.39 percent share at the end of December quarter of 2013, ahead of Vodafone.

Vodafone India has 18.1 percent share in the Indian mobile wireless service provider market, TRAI data showed on Monday.

Idea Cellular with 14.52 percent share, Reliance Communications with 13.23 percent, BSNL with 10.86 percent and Aircel 5.55 percent and Tata Teleservices 7.14 percent.

Top telecom operators in December 2013 India

According to TRAI, total wireless subscriber base increased from 881.13 million in November, 2013 to 886.30 million in December 2013, registering a monthly growth of 0.59 percent.

The share of urban wireless subscribers has marginally declined from 59.45 percent to 59.42 percent whereas share of rural wireless subscribers has marginally increased from 40.55 percent to 40.58 percent.

The overall wireless Teledensity in India has reached to 71.69 from 71.34 of previous month.

Wireless subscription in urban areas increased from 523.80 million in November, 2013 to 526.63 million in December, 2013.

The wireless subscription in rural areas increased from 357.33 million to 359.67 million during the same period.

The urban wireless Teledensity has increased from 138.42 to 138.94 and rural Teledensity has increased from 41.71 to 41.95, TRAI said.
