The guarantee ensures fiber customers receive credits for outages over 20 minutes and wireless customers for outages over 60 minutes.

AT&T offers its best smartphone deals to new and existing customers without requiring the most expensive plans.

Customer service improvements include speaking to tech experts within five minutes, callback scheduling, and same or next-day technician availability.

“We’ve been on a multi-year journey to improve the customer experience, placing our customers at the heart of everything we do,” said Jenifer Robertson, Executive Vice President & GM, AT&T Mass Markets & Mobility.

Since 2019, AT&T has invested over $140 billion in its network and nearly $1 billion in customer care, reinforcing its position as the first carrier to offer such a comprehensive guarantee.

The initiative highlights AT&T’s commitment to transparency, reliability, and redefining industry standards.

Why AT&T Guarantee?

Smartphone customers will be looking forward for offers such as AT&T Guarantee because they rely on devices for online purchases.

U.S. online spending surged nearly 9% during the 2024 holiday season, totaling approximately $241.4 billion, surpassing Adobe’s earlier forecast. This increase is significantly higher than the 4.9% growth seen in 2023, Reuters news report said.

Shoppers, particularly those using smartphones, drove the rise in purchases, with 54.5% of online transactions occurring on mobile devices, up from 51.1% in 2023.

Retailers like Walmart, Target, and Macy’s used a combination of increased ad spending, early discounts, promotions, and AI-driven strategies to boost sales during a shorter holiday season. However, despite the growth in online spending, there are concerns that these sales may not lead to profits due to the impact of discounts on retailer margins.

AI-powered services, including chatbots like Amazon’s Rufus, helped drive significant traffic to retail sites, with a 1,300% rise in customer visits, and also facilitated purchases and returns.

Additionally, the usage of buy-now-pay-later services saw a 9.6% increase, accounting for $18.2 billion in online spending. Despite strong sales, there are concerns that the increase in spending may not translate into higher profits for retailers.
