Deutsche Telekom partners with Lookout

Telecom Lead Europe: Deutsche Telekom has inked a
strategic partnership with Lookout to deliver Lookout Mobile
Security app to Deutsche Telekom’s European customers.

The partnership focuses on distribution and joint
innovation, bringing mobile security and elevated device health to Telekom’s millions of customers throughout Europe.

Based in San Francisco, California, Lookout is a
mobile security company that enables people to protect their mobile devices
from malware, data loss, and device loss.

As mobile devices become the primary computing device
for consumers, Deutsche Telekom is passionate in providing customers with the
best security and privacy. By offering tools that promote mobile security and
health, Deutsche Telekom is empowering people with the confidence to do more on
their phone,” said John Hering, CEO and founder at Lookout.

By partnering with Lookout, Deutsche Telekom customers
will have an easy way to secure their devices, better manage their mobile
privacy and device performance.

The mobile environment is increasingly led by
downloadable mobile applications, often with people customizing their devices
with mobile applications from different sources,” says Heikki Makijarvi, senior
VP, business development at Deutsche Telekom.

The Lookout Mobile Security app enables people to find a
missing device when it is lost or stolen, manage phone security, and easily
backup precious data. From a single online destination at mylookout.com, people can
manage multiple mobile devices and locate a phone or tablet on a Google map.

The mobile security company said that mobile devices have
become an attractive target for malware, fraud, hackers and identity theft.
In 2011, the company identified more than 1,000 instances of mobile
malware, a significant increase since 2010.
