China Telecom Americas Opens a Subsidiary in Canada

A wholly-owned North-American-based subsidiary of the world’s largest fixed-line telecom and broadband services provider, announced the formation of a subsidiary company.

China Telecom Canada provides a full suite of data, IP and value-added services to multinational companies, organizations and international carriers requiring China domestic services and international access to China and the Asia Pacific region.

Some of Canada’s most ambitious companies have long been active in China.  Many others are beginning to explore the great opportunities China has to offer,” said Donald Tan, president of China Telecom Americas.   These firms need an experienced partner to help them develop and deploy a plan for success in China.  For these multinational enterprises, that partner is China Telecom Canada.”

The company has seen a continual growth in demand for diverse, reliable communication between Canada and Asia, and while China Telecom Americas has had an office in Canada for more than five years, the company realized that it needed to have a fully-functional Canadian company to better serve our customers.  The company is committed to helping Canadian companies grow in China.
