Airtel to automate data center networks with Nokia

Bharti Airtel will deploy Nokia’s Nuage Networks VSP solution in 15 circles in the northern and southern part of India to automate its data center networks.
Airtel India's fastest networkNuage Networks VSP solution will allow Airtel to provide new services including Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and Mobile Edge Computing (MEC).

Randeep Sekhon, CTO at Bharti Airtel, said: “The upcoming technologies, including 5G and IoT, demand that we move the data centers closer to our customers, so we are able to provide ultra-high speeds and low latency.”

Nuage Networks VSP is a component in Nokia’s Software Defined Networking (SDN) solution that enables automation across the data center and transport networks.
