Airtel salary for top employees during 2018-19

Bharti Airtel has revealed the total remuneration including the monthly salary paid to its top employees during the financial year 2018-19.

Sunil Bharti Mittal, chairman of Bharti Airtel, has received an annual remuneration of INR 310.05 million in fiscal 2018-19 as compared with INR 301.97 million in fiscal 2017-18 and INR 301.44 million in fiscal 2016-17.

Gopal Vittal, chief executive officer of Bharti Airtel India, has received remuneration of INR 209.05 million in fiscal 2018-19 as against INR 169.73 million in fiscal 2017-18 and INR 124.02 million in fiscal 2016-17.

The company’s CFO Nilanjan Roy, who left Airtel to join IT services company Infosys in February 28, 2019, has received remuneration of INR 48.87 million.

Airtel’s Company Secretary Pankaj Tewari has received remuneration of INR 10.19 million during the fiscal 2018-19.

Badal Bagri, who joined as Airtel CFO on March 01, 2019, has an annual remuneration of INR 27.78 million.

Bharti Airtel Services, a subsidiary company, transferred approx. 2,700 employees to the rolls of Bharti Airtel during the fiscal year 2018-19. Due to increase in the number of employees, there has been a decrease of approx. 21.02 percent in the median remuneration of employees.

Bharti Airtel has 10,205 permanent employees on the rolls of the company as on March 31, 2019. The average increase in the remuneration of employees excluding top management team members during FY 2018-19 was 7 percent.

The average increase in the remuneration of top management team was 4.53 percent during fiscal 2018-19.
