Airtel rolls out Platinum 3G in Imphal and Churachandpur

Airtel has rolled out its Platinum 3G network for customers in Imphal and Churachandpur under “Project Leap”.

Airtel’s Platinum 3G will deliver faster internet speeds, enhance voice clarity and offer a superior network experience for customers in the circle, the company said.

The network also helps optimize the backend engagement between the network and mobile devices, thus allowing customers to enjoy extended battery life on their phones.

Airtel has recently commenced the implementation of its network transformation program “Project Leap” in North East and Assam.

With a national investment of Rs. 60,000 Crores over the next three years, Airtel’s “Project Leap” is a strategic company initiative aimed at perceptibly improving its network quality and delivering the best customer experience, the company said.

Announcing the launch of Platinum 3G, Sameer Anjaria, CEO, Airtel North East and Assam, said, in line with the company’s long term growth strategy for North East and Assam, it will be investing heavily in upgrading our network and providing seamless customer experience across various technologies under “Project Leap”.

Recently Airtel announced Platinum 3G in Itanagar, Agartala, Dimapur and Aizawl. With this, the company has expanded its footprint in North East.

Earlier in July 2015, Airtel had introduced 4G services in North East. With Airtel 4G and Platinum 3G both available in the circle now, Airtel has become the only network in North East to offer both technologies.
