Bharti Airtel consolidated mobile data revenues stand at Rs 2,872 crore, a 61.9 percent growth year over year, the company said announcing the third quarter results.
Airtel’s consolidated Q3’15 revenues stands at Rs 23,217 crore, a 5.8 percent growth from the same period last year.
The company has registered revenue growth of 12.6 percent in Q3, the highest in 9 quarters. The company’s mobile data grew 74.3 percent in Q3, from the previous year.
Mobile Data revenues now contribute more than 85 percent of the incremental revenues of the Company.
Consolidated mobile data traffic grew by 91.2 percent.
Bharti Airtel India revenue is up 12.6 percent, led by 13.0 percent in Mobile, 13.2 percent in Telemedia and 15.8 percent in Digital TV.
Mobile Data revenue at Rs 2,114 crore registered a growth of 74.3 percent Y-o-Y in India, uplifted by increase in usage per customer by 38.3 percent and Data customer base by 32.4 percent.
Consequently, Data ARPU has moved up by Rs 34 to Rs 170 in Q3’15. Mobile Data revenues contribute to 16.2 percent of Mobile India revenues vis-à-vis 10.6 percent in the corresponding quarter last year.
Net Income stands at Rs 1,436 crore, up by 135.4 percent Y-o-Y. Profit before tax stands at Rs 31.1 crore in Q3, 41 percent growth Y-o-Y.
The company’s capex for the quarter stands at Rs 45. 1 crore, 21 percent increase from the previous quarter.
Africa revenues grew by 3.9 percent Y-o-Y in local currency terms, but the reported revenues were down by 5.3 percent due to appreciation of the US dollar. Data revenues stood at $ 116 Mn with growth of 34.9 percent Y-o-Y, led by increase in Data customer base by 38.1 percent and higher usage per customer by 22.6 percent. Data revenues contribute to 10.5 percent of overall Africa revenues vis-à-vis 7.4 percent in the corresponding quarter last year.
Consequent to an addition of Rs 6,468 crore of deferred payment liabilities for the spectrum, the Company’s consolidated net debt has increased to $ 10,554 mn and the Net Debt to EBITDA ratio (LTM) has moved to 2.11 times from 2.06 in the previous quarter.
Excluding the deferred payment liabilities to the DOT, Airtel’s net debt as at 31st December, 2014 stands at $ 8,345 mn.
Airtel’s mobile service customer base grew 3.1 percent Q-o-Q and 8.1 percent Y-o-Y to 299,706. In India, the company improved its customer base by 2.6 percent and 9.4 percent respectively.
